Protecting our planet and its creatures through sustainable, faith-led action.

May – Environmental Protection & Sustainability

May’s natural beauty reminds us of our duty to protect the Earth, as climate change and environmental degradation increasingly threaten public health, ecosystems, and economies. The U.S. emits over 5 billion metric tons of CO₂ annually, while pollution-related illnesses cause an estimated 200,000 premature deaths each year. Rising sea levels, heatwaves, and natural disasters disproportionately impact low-income and marginalized communities. Our initiatives promote sustainability through clean-ups, green infrastructure, and education—ensuring a livable planet for current and future generations.

June – Animal Welfare & Conservation

June spotlights our responsibility to care for the animals who share our world—whether companion pets, farm animals, or endangered species. An estimated 6.3 million animals enter U.S. shelters each year, with 920,000 euthanized due to overcrowding or neglect. Beyond domestic concerns, habitat destruction, climate change, and poaching have pushed over 42,000 species toward extinction globally. Through rescue, advocacy, education, and wildlife protection, we promote compassion and conservation, helping create a more ethical and ecologically balanced future.
